ANSWER
Hector.
Hector Boiardi, born in Italy in 1898, was cooking professionally by the age of 11. When he was 17 he immigrated to New York City, where he worked as a chef at a number of prestigious restaurants, including the Plaza and the Ritz-Carlton. By the time of the Great Depression, he had moved to Cleveland, Ohio and opened his own restaurant, Il Giardino d'Italia. Despite the Depression, his business thrived. His spaghetti sauce was so popular he began selling it on the side. It wasn't long before he was selling entire pre-packaged meals. By the time World War II rolled around, he had changed the name to "Boyardee", moved his operation to a factory in Pennsylvania, and was preparing rations for the US military. The rest is history.
