New Terrorist Leader Identified
I think we may have identified another of the terrorist leaders. Take a look at this photo taken at a recent anti-American protest in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Pay close attention to the poster they are holding up on the right...
Did you see him? Probably not, since he's fairly difficult to spot from that photo. Take a look at this close-up of the same photo...
Yes! Unbelievable! It's BERT! Standing shoulder to shoulder with one of the most dangerous men in the world! Could it be? Is Bert really a terrorist leader? Is this proof that Bert really is evil? Has anyone actually seen Bert lately? How is Ernie holding up through all this?
Okay, here's the story... The photo is real. The poster they are holding really does have Bert's picture on it. It was apparently made up of several images of Osama bin Laden taken from the Internet, including one where Bert is posing with Osama. (That image may or may not have been faked. So far Bert has declined to comment.) It's not clear whether or not the protesters knew who Bert was when they included his picture in their collage. Meanwhile, the producers back at Sesame Street are very, very unhappy about all of this.
